Another yuga theory don't consider ascending and descending cycle just single set of 4 era and cycle finish. As metioned earlier the 1st era of each cycle is satya-yuga which considered as best(utopian era) and kali-yuga considered worst era, each yuga ends with great change in everything existing on this planet including this planet too, some call it rupture, some call it end time, some call it pralay, judgement day, great shift, etc. During transition from each yuga and cycle, polar shifts, great floods, wars, waves of natural disasters, pandemic occurs.

Now according to those unpopular regional indian scriptures there might not be ascending and descending cycle concept used, these scriptures seem like they only consider the 4 era of descending cycle and assume the 4 era of ascending cycle as part of upcoming satya-yug era because according to these scriptures this upcoming satya yug is the longest era of next cycle, these scriptures indicate that the current cycle is 52nd chatur-yuga, think of it as 52/100 cycle, 100 cycles equals to 1 kalpa, and imagine a parabola of 100 points symmetrical to y-axis, the peak points are like 49, 50, 51, 52, in peak cycles everything happens at extreme level both creation as well as destruction, kali-yuga ended in between 2020-2023, current time is transition period (yuga-sandhi kaal) which will last till 2028, during this span wars, geopolitical changes, change of center of geopolitical power, great floods, polar shift, waves of earthquakes, economy collapse happens. After this transition period a sub era "one world one nation" Of satya-yuga begins which is of 1000 years and then later on slowly improvise and turn into saturated satya yuga (utopian era) with time.
