SantaFe19484 says:

I would like to see a video of how Tibet ended up being part of China. And I'd like to see a video answering other geography questions like why are Lesotho and Swaziland not part of South Africa? Why is San Marino not part of Italy? How did the other European microstates became separate and why do they continue to be independent?

StopFear says:

It is very good that Mongolians after Ginkhis Khan actually solidified in Buddhism. In case you didn't know, but after Mongolians captured Baghad and other Muslim lands half of Mongolians converted to Islam and had wars between them, the original Buddhist Mongolians, and the the local populations of areas now known as Russia. (Tartars, Uzbeks, Kazakhs, and pretty much all of these asiatic Muslims are Muslims because of that conversion). If all Mongolians turned to that evil religion known as Islam I doubt many people would fare well.

StopFear says:

Buddhism may be a peaceful religion but it's more contrived and nonsensical than any of the judeo Christian religions, and even than Islam. Just an observation.

Neil Johnson says:

Buddhism does not teach an eternal soul exists. Also Buddhism teaches rebirth not reincarnation. The two concepts are very different.

Thupten Thupten says:

I think the description is great! Thank you !

Silkendrum says:

Did this get reloaded? Where did all the comments go?

NitowskiJ23 says:

Good video. Some failures of pronunciation (it should be Gedun Pel. In Tibetan the Ph is always an aspirated P, never an F) but very informative and overall accurate. Some weird pictures though (like ones of very obviously Korean acolytes at 5:05).

CRSMITCHELL says:

Why not an wester Dalai lama?

Artifactorfiction says:

All sounds perfectly reasonable …

Brian H says:

Thanks for helping clean my Chakras.  UUUUMMMMMMMM……..

Silkendrum says:

That whole bit surrounding Altan Khan seems very tit-for-tat, very politically expedient, and very, uh, un-Buddhist.

EvenMyCatHatesMe says:

Please stop calling Tibetan Buddhism a philosophy after watching this video. It's got some crazy shit like any other religion, but not as violent like some religion, like Islam.

ReadySetBlow1 says:

That's quite a complicated process, I would like to see how the parents of the new Dalai Lama react when he's selected.
