Deepak Chopra says that God makes more sense than atheism. This is my
response to his arguments.
I CAN actually prove God exist.
You heathens want proof of Gods existence? Put down those sinful science
books that bring you closer to Satan and read the Holy Bible like any sane
normal person would or you will burn for eternity, Satan is gonna burn you
alive and leave your maggot infested corpse to rot while worms and maggots
feast on your burnt flesh for all eternity, While us loving Christians bask
in the eternal glory of Heaven with baby Jesus praying and singing like
normal people.
Whhy be a Athiest when there freakin awesome faiths
Wait, wait, we CAN disprove Santa with science, easily.
1) Santa has a workshop at the North Pole.
Science: Observe the North Pole and you will see that there is no workshop.
2) Santa leaves presents under your tree.
Science: Set up a tree and go to bed on Christmas eve. There will be no
presents the next morning, no matter how hard you believe and no matter how
good of a little boy or girl you are.
3) Santa will take the milk and cookies you leave out for him.
Science: The milk and cookies will remain intact.
Therefore: There is no Santa. ….Which is actually kind of sad.
Batman doesn’t make sense …. I’m Batman!
I honestly pity atheist. You’ll never know the joys of spirituality and
meta physics. Your feet are so cemented if your beliefs that you cannot
move or improve in your ideas (more like ideas fed to you and you repeat
them like a parrot). You paint yourselves into a corner and HAVE to stay
there while people like me stay centered. We can move in any direction.
Just read your replies to religious people! You’re so close minded and
callous. You attack anyone who believes in anything other than science.
It’s saddening….
God can’t be disproven and can be proven only by definition. What’s not
existing isn’t God to start with.
Whether theist or atheist it’s wrong to think that God does something for
us. God only exists as the central principle of universe and never bothers
our worldly things.
I think this video is rather “anti theistic” than being atheistic as it’s
only mocking and throwing rubbish at something that you can’t disprove.
I vote for Mr.Chopra for being more peaceful than TJ.
Morality really isn’t about God so stop wasting time trying to barge into
someone’s mind. Anti theists that calling themselves as atheists are just
as bad as religious fundies. They both are bunch of unrealistic arrogant
shits.
I’d rather take religion over science any day.Religion gives us more hope
than evar and science gives everybody suicide thoughts.Trust me guys
without religion we would all be dead right now.Christianity may be the
real religion but so is Islam and Judiasm.God Bless ^_^
Proof there is no god
Try praying
How might we prove that God is imaginary? One way would be to find a
contradiction the definition of God and the God we experience in the real
world.
What would happen if we get down on our knees and pray to God in this way:
Dear God, almighty, all-powerful, all-loving creator of the universe, we
pray to you to cure every case of cancer on this planet tonight. We pray in
faith, knowing you will bless us as you describe in Matthew 7:7, Matthew
17:20, Matthew 21:21, Mark 11:24, John 14:12-14, Matthew 18:19 and James
5:15-16. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen. We pray sincerely, knowing that when
God answers this completely heartfelt, unselfish, non-materialistic prayer,
it will glorify God and help millions of people in remarkable ways.
Will anything happen? No. Of course not.
This is very odd. Jesus makes specific promises in the Bible about how
prayer is supposed to work. Jesus says in many different places that he and
God will answer your prayers. And Christians believe Jesus — according
to a recent article, “54% of American adults believe the Bible is literally
true.” In some areas of the country the number goes as high as 75%.
If the Bible is literally true, then something is seriously amiss. Simply
look at the facts. In Matthew 7:7 Jesus says:
Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will
be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds,
and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man of you, if his son
asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will
give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts
to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good
things to those who ask him!If “every one who asks receives”, then if we
ask for cancer to be cured, it should be cured. Right? If “our Father who
is in heaven gives good things to those who ask him”, then if we ask him to
cure cancer, he should cure it. Right? And yet nothing happens.
In Matthew 17:20 Jesus says:
For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you
will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and
nothing will be impossible to you. If “nothing will be impossible to you”,
then if we ask to cure cancer tonight, cancer should disappear. Right? Yet
nothing happens. Note that if we take the Bible less-than-literally here,
the statement “nothing will be impossible to you” becomes “lots of
things will be impossible to you,” and that would mean that Jesus is lying.
In Matthew 21:21:
I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you
do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain,
‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. If you believe, you
will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. If “you will receive whatever
you ask for in prayer”, then if we ask to cure cancer tonight, cancer
should dissappear. Right? Yet nothing happens. Note again that there is not
a non-literal way to interpret “you will receive whatever you ask for in
prayer”, unless you replace “whatever” with “nothing” or “little.”
The message is reiterated Mark 11:24:
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have
received it, and it will be yours. If God says, “believe that you have
received it, and it will be yours,” and if we believe in God and his power,
then what should happen if we pray to cure cancer tonight? It should be
cured. Either that, or God is lying.
In John chapter 14, verses 12 through 14, Jesus tells all of us just how
easy prayer can be:
“I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been
doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the
Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may
bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I
will do it.” Look at how direct this statement is: “You may ask me for
anything in my name, and I will do it.” This is the “Son of God” speaking.
Have we taken him “too literally?” No. This is a simple, unambiguous
statement. Have we taken his statement “out of context?” No – Jesus uses
the word anyone. Yet Jesus’ statement is obviously false. Because when we
ask God to cure cancer tonight, nothing happens.
We see the same thing over and over again…
In Matthew 18:19 Jesus says:
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask,
it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are
gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them. In James 5:15-16 the
Bible says: And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well;
the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that
you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
In Mark 9:23:All things are possible to him who believes. In Luke 1:37:For
with God nothing will be impossible. Nothing could be simpler or clearer
than Jesus’ promises about prayer in the Bible. Yet, when we pray to
eliminate cancer, nothing happens.
And keep in mind that this is Jesus talking here. These are not the words
of human beings. These are not the words of “inspired” human beings. These
are supposedly the words of God himself, incarnated in a human body. Jesus
is supposed to be a perfect, sinless being. And yet, it is obvious that
Jesus is lying. What Jesus says is clearly incorrect.
Jesus is supposed to be God. God is supposed to be perfect.
When Jesus speaks, he should speak the truth.
Yet when we look at what Jesus says about prayer,
he is clearly lying.
If you would like additional proof, gather a million faithful believers
together into a giant prayer circle. Have them all pray together in Jesus’
name that God cures every case of cancer on the planet tomorrow. Pray
sincerely, knowing that when God answers this completely heartfelt,
unselfish, non-materialistic prayer, it will glorify God and help millions
of people in remarkable ways. Now, we certainly have two or more people
gathered together, and they have asked in Jesus’ name, and we have not one
but a million faithful believers who, by definition, have faith and
believe. We have fulfilled every one of Jesus’ requirements.
Will Jesus answer the prayer now? Of course not. Your prayer will go
unanswered, in direct defiance to Jesus’ promises in the Bible. In fact, if
you pray for anything that is impossible, your prayer will ALWAYS go
unanswered.
If you are an intelligent, rational human being, all of the examples
mentioned above show you that the God of the Bible is imaginary. The Bible
clearly promises that God answers prayers. Yet when we pray, nothing
happens. What Jesus says about prayer in the Bible clearly is not true.
Therefore, one of two things must be happening:
-God is imaginary.
-God does exist, but he never answers prayers. Unfortunately, God is
defined by the Bible to be a prayer-answering being. The contradiction
between the reality of God and the definition of God proves that God is
imaginary.
DISCLAIMER: I did not create this argument, I am unsure who did, but it
wasn’t me
Merry Xmas
God = Truth and Love.
What annoys me about things like this is that they compare science to
religion. Science is factual and religion is unproven beliefs. Science is
what makes the technology in our everyday items and religion is what people
want to believe in. Science discovers things about the universe and
religion doesn’t discover or do anything. Science is what explains
everything in our lives and religion doesn’t explain anything it just takes
everything from a single book as a fact. Its like comparing an aeroplane to
a potato. Its stupid. They are two completely different things. Compare
Christianity to Islam or compare Hinduism to Buddhism, don’t compare
religion to science because science isn’t a religion
I call myself an atheist, but I really should not, I’ve tried for years of
my life to just not say anything about it, but then around the age of 9, or
10 I can’t remember, I realized that censoring my thoughts was bullshit, so
I just started calling myself an atheist. I know an atheist is someone who
has no beliefs, but I just walked away from any religious conversation,
stupid people will be stupid people, no matter how much you just want them
to be strapped to a chair in a cold basement and forced to learn about what
is true and what is not.
I don’t think consciousness is a result of the brain’s structure, however,
I do not create myths to explain it. Perhaps there is something that we do
not yet have the technology to observe that causes conscious thought to
conduct (via the nervous system) into the physical world. Perhaps an
omni-permeating field of conscious energy outside of our dimensions that
only responds to the physical world through the structures of our neurons.
Atheism makes less sense than religion. They’re both stupid and pointless
but atheism is even stupider. Everything exists cause something exploded
and magically put water and oxygen on earth. What the fuck? Dumb asses
believe in that shit. Just enjoy life and believe what you want but don’t
trash other peoples beliefs cause yours sound just as moronic.
Wait are we disproving the religious God or the scientific God?
If you think Deepak Chopra is a bit of a nutter, do check out Spirit
Science here on youtube. That guy is crazier then a dumpster full of hobos.
Well that or the more resonable answer, a charlatan who does it for the
money.
Actually Santa Clause can be disproved by science.
Epicurus makes more sense than God.
And just saying when you said if god is wrong why the crusades, God didn’t
come down from heaven and tell the Catholics and Muslims to go to war
people made that choice after Muslims stopped allowing Christian/Jewish
pilgrimages to Jerusalem and Israel
Not even Chopra believes his own shit. When questioned by Dawkins he
admitted that not only did he know very little about quantum mechanics he
tried to hide behind the old, “its just a metaphor” defense.
We should all just believe in The Illuminati and praise it as our God. That
way world would be so much better.
The Amazing Atheist – great job! Can you please make a video disproving the
existence of Leprechauns? The pastor of our local Church of the great
Leprechaun says that anyone who does not believe in the great Leprechaun
shall be damned to rot in hell for the eternity. So, this makes me wander –
what if he is right?
Satan made TJ to believe that God is a religion.
Satan will make some people to laugh and mock for my statement.
And no wonder, Satan is a deceiver, and many people will realise this only
after they die.
Chopra is aware of all this. He just makes too much money to come out and
say it.
i just want to say, even the people who work exclusively in quantum physics
dont understand it. it’s pretty much just we know this happens and this
does this. we dont know why, but it does.
This is how to pronounce his name-> “Deepuck Choupra”. Not your fault.
A true atheist recognizes that atheism entails moral and existential
nihilism. There is no free will, so why rail against the religious when
they can’t help but be religious? There is no immortality, which renders
all to be ultimately meaningless. But therein lies the “nihilist trap.” If
all is ultimately meaningless, then ALL is ultimately
meaningless…including atheism.
