I found a baby skunk trying desperately and hopelessly to pull the body of its dead mother out of the road. I pulled the mother's body out of the road with a stick so the baby skunk would not get run over. But as I drove off (the baby ran away) I realized the baby was too young and would die of starvation without its mother. There are no rescues in NM that currently help orphaned skunks. I wept for the little creature's suffering. Another baby skunk was clearly born with an internal birth defect and suffered for weeks before dying under my porch.
Here is my question: I can understand that people have karma, none of us feels like we were just freshly created. But what karma could a baby skunk have possibly generated to elicit such a painful life and death? Animals are attuned to divine love, that is why dogs and cats can often love so unconditionally. I cannot understand a supposedly loving Universe/God putting animals through this. I do not believe they were bad in some way and brought it on themselves; nor do I believe they get Brownie Points for going through agony or abandonment. The suffering of animals makes no sense to me at all. People and animals do not tend to transmigrate; we tend to stay in our own species again and again, so they aren't people getting their just dues.
who is the thinker? and who do i believe?
This man is wonderful and a gift to us. Let us all use his teachings and knowledge to rise in awareness and love.
Gloria in Excelsis Deo!
I would like to have the possibility to see one of these conferences complete, not in many Little pieces.
At 0:38 he talks about karmic debts being paid off, but didn't Jesus do that for us?
