I would never trust anyone who is 100% sure of 'God'. Personally I do not believe. Does that mean I am lost? No it does not. For anyone else who isn't comfortable with AA and the whole 'higher power' thing, there is an alternative. 'Refuge Recovery' is a non-theistic path to maintaining sobriety via the principles of Buddhism. As someone who has a problem with alcohol and as an atheist; I am glad there is a different way, another path.
I can totally understand how the drinkers are bitter over the sad News, but this is a fact because alcohol puts all the problems under the rug but they never go away. and discovering Spirituality helps you releasing the under pinning behavior that can later be surrender.
You know how to get rid of addiction? I found it on the left hand path. Bc when things don't add up, it's time to start subtracting.
Hint: fear, guilt, judgement and shame serve only to keep us down. Hmmm, that's all religion creates in our souls. Wow…

It's impossible to judge something that is not within us to begin with. Forgiveness is the remedy for addiction. 🙏 Forgiving ourselves. Bc we are not separate. Separateness is only an illusion.
