So true how to convince retired revolutionaries that the last thing they have to decommission is their death narratives, theaters of war or struggle or wotever. It's like trying to take a soother from a ranting gorilla's mouth everytime you try you end up losing another finger. Frustrating shit or wot?
I could be wrong on this, but I remember David once saying "Once you take a position you limit your perception". So let's say a racist person, he has an obvious positionality against blacks/whites/whatever. Maybe even focusing on other people's defects, 'constructive critisism', and overlooking the good in that person may be a positionality as well. Very good question that I think, I am unable to fully answer lol
I'm surprised that he says that you don't have to give up hatred, etc., because hatred comes from fear, and fear is a low frequency. Anger is slightly higher and can propel one out of inertia into action.
Self-pity is believing we're a victim of something. When you give up being a victim, you reclaim your personal power and rise to a higher frequency. Does that make sense?
You realize the core of your stuck-ness already it seems. Sometimes though, it is merely conditioned responses or tendencies that take over and then we get disappointed at our responses. It's catching these tendencies or conditioned responses before they escape our mouths or manifest into action. This is where mantra or affirmation really helps to subvert our subconscious responses. It's like lifting weights for a particular muscle group. Check out Louis Hay's book, 'You can Heal Your Life'.
hi, I am little stuck with self-pity, and complaints about an illness i think i have… so it's just to let go of the pay-off you/I get from complaints and feeling sorry for myself?
Is that a positionality? What is a positionality? thank you for your answer
I happen to be feeling stuck right now, so this advice is good. I'm getting paid off in a certain currency (avoidance?) which I can give up if I choose to. Maybe then I will need to remind myself of the payoff in doing things I think I ought to be doing, which will cost a lot in work but pay off in money.
This is the first video I have watched of him and I guess this is the coolest guy that I have ever seen.
What a wonderful man.
There's a song & video you might like called-Message From God- you can see it on Utube by typing in, Message from God 7
I am only upset to learn that he has passed away. I would have loved to have met him and taken a course from him.
This makes WAY more sense after reading "Letting Go". It's really profound.
I actually think this is what Conor Mcgregor is gonna look like when he's older. Same nod 2:30
damn i like this guy
yah! mhmm, wow….gotta love truth.
This is basicly the same as unconcous agendas, is it?
Let go the secret payoff, which is the pure point of focus when getting stuck.

Esti Allina-Turnauer I hear you 100% however if you let go the pay-off, you let go the negative emotion.
Does anyone know where can I watch this complete lecture?
Very insightful. This is very much the teaching of Eckhart Tolle (although presented in a different package).
Excellent clip, but please how do we uncover the Pay Off??? any suggestions on that?
Yeah I think like an attitude, opinion, emotion about something.. a way of seeing it.
I understood it as taking a posiotion about things? Like an attitude, or opinion etc? But I am not sure, 😉 thanks anyway

Can someone give an example of a positionality?

I am the most humble person I know.

Then its pride, not humility lol
