Now that it is known about Neem Karoli Baba’s blessings received by Steve Jobs & Mark Zukerberg it makes more sense to highlight this clip from the documentary “Ram Dass – Fierce Grace”.

BMerker says:

The story of Ram Dass conversion is abbreviated in this account. From the fuller account on the record in Be Here Now you learn the details that may explain the "miracle" Alpert experienced. There he tells us that Bhagwan Das had a habit of sitting in meditation at night, while Alpert slept. So what if Alpert, on returning from his moment under the stars returned to their room, and in his sleep muttered about his mother and her dying of cancer of the spleen, while Bhagwan Das, sitting in meditation, overheard it? In the fuller story Bhagwan Das sudden urge to go see the Guru "because he had a visa problem" seems strange, because he must have known about that problem earlier. On arrival at the ashram, Bhagwan Das tells Neem Karoli Baba what he knows, and Alpert has his mind blown on getting it back from the Guru.

just realized they took his real name "Richard Alpert" for a character that show 'Lost'. Did they do anything original in that show? Sorry for the anger. That show wasted 4 years of my life.

Terry Porter says:

Reducing every phenomenon in the world to mere projections of our own consciousness. We do not see things as they are but we see them as we are. Therefore, there are as many worlds as there are people to create them. Old Hindu Gnostic statement Reality is inside the skull. The centre of the universe is in your living room. Don't be fooled or hoodwinked today by by the call to abandon intellectual discernment. With out objective reality, there can be no personal God, no divine revelation. You are not the centre of the universe and you are not a human mushroom. Our understanding and perception are limited compared with those of God , he has the total view from above. He is aware of your thinking

Some of you may find this to be of interest: John Foreman was a broker of high-end properties in NYC and was fascinated with big old houses & their lore; until his recent death he lived for three decades in the main house on the old Hitchcock estate in Millbrook (it was his week-end home, rented from the estate). He had a blog, still up, which deals extensively with grand houses he personally toured & photographed. See:

Brian G. Maguire says:

How do I explain who Maharaj Ji was and how he did what he did.
I don't have any explanation, maybe it was his love of God,
I can't explain who he was.

I can almost begin to understand how he loved everybody,
I mean that was sort of his job, he was a Saint,
Saints are supposed to love everybody.

That's not what has always so staggered me.
What staggered me is not that he loved everybody
but that when I was sitting in front of him,
I loved everybody.

That was the hardest thing for me to understand,
how he could so totally transform the spirit of people who were with him.
and bring out not just the best in us,
but bring out something that wasn't even in us,
we didn't know.

I don't think any of us were as good or as pure or as loving in our whole life
as we were when we were sitting in front of him.

lesly Dutch says:

I would love to see Spect brain images of people who have abused LSD. How do you define abuse? Perhaps doing it for 3 weeks straight would be considered abuse? Just wondering! I like a lot of the things Ram Daas says, but they're not foreign to me, or new, they're Christian teachings, even down to the Mala beads which are very similar to Catholic rosary beads, Catholics are Christians if you don't know this already, and praying on your food? Jesus did that, real practicing christians do it too, Love everyone and tell the truth, that's all Christian, the teachings of the Christ. I was wanting an exotic experience but it's all very Christian. So Hinduism is very similar to Christianity that's my conclusion, except there was no professed virgin birth. Hindu gurus are said to perform other types of miracles though.
