Charles Rae says:

I note that the Dalai Lama has modified his views somewhat. In the late 90s, when asked what he thought of homosexuality, he replied that for a vajrayana practitioner, it would be wrong. As indeed would oral sex or masturbation in a heterosexual relationship. It would be interesting to hear his current position on this aspect of the subject, since there are some famous gay practitioners of Tibetan tantra, such as Jeffrey Hopkins and Donald Lopez.

Christopher Nichols says:

Buddism does not have anything against homosexuality, still considers it sexual misconduct,

The Truth will set you free says:

What creator of Human being says about Same esx marriage . listion carefully because this teaching from Bible and one day we have to give account to God of our Life – https://youtu.be/BhrSWVu9wfE

Denzel Dickenson says:

I hope Muslims become Christan

PierzStyx says:

Of course he doesn't have a problem with same-sex marriage. Buddhists believe in reincarnation. If something distracts you from nirvana in this life then you'll reincarnate to try again in the next. But the ultimate goal of Buddhism is the total cessation of anything that ties you to reincarnation. In a real way, Buddhism opposes not just same-sex marriage but all marriage as marriage ties you down to this world. This is why so many Buddhist monks are completely celibate and forego any sort of relationships, gay or straight.

Keith M says:

Can't agree more.

THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY says:

Buddhism isn’t against homosexuality but it is against lust and sexual misconduct…

New Thought says:

He's right. Both people say yes then fine, no one else's business.

Gabriel Rentap says:

This man is pretty lit guys!

charmaineantonia says:

It's right to not discriminate but respect every individual, Lama is showing great understanding and love here for every person. But it's afterall something which is against the natural system and law. And we should not go against nature. It is better to reflect and know what we are doing. Just sharing, not trying to offend anyone.

LeMĂ©taphysicien says:

For those who say "he didn't answerd." Yes he did. In Buddhism it is ok have sex between adults no matter what's your gender. Buddha doesn't care who you marry. But Buddha said that you should not harm others in any way, you should not have sexual misconduct: rape, cheat (adultery) and obviously cannot have sex with children. If you can not be dependant of sex at all its even better. PS: monks cannot have sexual acts because they have a goal to be free from attachment, desire and lust: which are the "poisons" of the mind if the goal is to reach awakenning. Often they abandon sex and orgasms because of the ectasy they attain in meditation… if they have sex they lose it all and gives them a "lesson" to not do it again. The "jhana" or ectasy you attain by meditation is way higher than any orgasm or mariage. Thats why they abandon it. Its not forcing themselves it really comes from understanding.

James bless says:

Dalai lama was a member of China Communist Party…He is a politician run away as a traitor from China…and raise by US CIA as a tool to screw China…then raise by western media as a holy man…don't ever trust this man..He is just a western puppet. Real monk doesn't play with politic.
