The most influential book iv read aroand 5 years ago and I still consciously engage the present moment 🙂
Eckhart had a spontaneous awakening and yet here he is recommending practices and techniques for people to practice. They won’t work guys: enlightenment just happens despite what you do. Sorry, but there’s nothing you can do.
Tolle just westernizes Indian religions into a "yummy" narcissism-fertilising saucepan of turd, saying things that "no-one would disagree with" , , , Hinduism and Buddhism whacked through the California Filter…
Meanwhile in India, small girls are schlepped around the village to various sleazy uncles as a sex piece, and she has no recourse, it's all fate and karma.
Factories and people hurl shit into the Ganga river, because it's impossible to defile a "god".
Been there five times, lived, worked there, the themes emerged… …wake up, iPhone hippies…
