Eckhart Tolle is widely recognized as one of the most original and inspiring spiritual teachers of our time. He travels and teaches throughout the world.

Eckhart is not aligned with any particular religion or tradition, but excludes none. His profound yet simple and practical teachings have helped thousands of people find inner peace, healing and greater fulfillment in their lives. At the core of his teachings lies the transformation of individual and collective human consciousness – a global spiritual awakening.

Eckhart Tolle is the author of The Power of Now, a #1 New York Times Bestseller, which has been translated into 32 languages and become one of the most influential spiritual books of our time.

In his most recent book, A New Earth, he shows how transcending our ego-based state of consciousness is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to ending conflict and suffering throughout the world.

Mat J says:

Arenโ€™t we all unconscious to some degree?

Brenton Reed says:

Thank you Eckhart all the way from South Africa.

Samerina says:

Her question regards the isolation she feels. The comments are all "don't try to change people" but she's not trying to change anyone, she just wants connection. I want connection๐ŸŒŸ

Art C says:

How do we form opinions if we don't judge things? Don't we need to have opinions to share with others so we can learn and grow? I went a few years like this and it is the most lonely I have ever been. People just don't connect and sometimes think you are weak or a wet noodle. Most likely I am confused about where to land as an individual without ego. If you don't want to judge, you don't have an opinion. Without an opinion it doesn't seem like there is much to share. Without sharing something, connections are lost. I don't know. I judge Eckhart Tolle as a fantastic human whom I have learned much from. Still, I am left with the feeling I have somehow missed an important detail or that this field of thought needs more development.

Jay Cockerham says:

A book I read on forgiveness, some time ago, once detailed these people as PETs – personal emotion trainers – which is to say that they are in your life to present you an opportunity to refine and grow be it through understanding, confrontation etc but the principle remained the same – that they are present to you for a reason. Often if you look inside deep enough, you'll find an intolerance within yourself of a similar vein.

Thanks for the video.

evantspurrell says:

i usually let them sleep

James Humphrey says:

it's fun to be unconscious though and unconscious people enjoy life more in simplicity and truth

Martha G says:

So true ๐Ÿ™ thank you!

Defaul Setteen says:

Unconsciousness is contagious.

Amos Bordowitz says:

What does "unconcious" mean in this aspect?

TheAaronRodgersTao says:

Wow. So grateful for this reminder. I am afraid however that the level of unconsciousness in people is so great nowadays that we may be heading for a cliff that we cannot avoid. Not that the way to deal with that is any different than embodying complete consciousness and presence, but will it be enough?

rubber ducky says:

Just tell them ",I see, I understand ,you're right,that's a great point, and… I'm sorry,but I need to take this call"…and skildaddle on your way .

johnnymoondog says:

Great question and brilliant answer !

J.D. Marcion says:

The lips of wisdom are closed, except to the ears of understanding.

mixingrecords says:

Wow. 12 years ago it was difficult to read his book. I have had a shift in consciousness. Maybe I'll understand the book finally. ๐Ÿ˜‰

THIS IS FUN says:

young kim says:

We should all stop interpreting and just be. The world is in perfect order according to the universe if you believe that.

Amelia says:

Human are difficult! Full stop.

People can be inconsiderate, thoughtless, selfish and just plain irritating!

It is hard being triggered by other peopleโ€™s behaviour especially when it effects you. And letting go of that irritation is difficult when you have to engage with these people on a regular basis.

Hopefully one day they will learn from other people… because even if you let it go they will come against other people who will also find their behaviour difficult.

These people donโ€™t look inside… they think the world revolves around them… let them get on with it… their life will be very very hard!!

Yves Arakawa says:

It's true, challenges make you more conscious. But like with so many things, you first do it wrong because there is not enough teaching and learning from a young age. But I try to see my mistakes and indeed, life is so beautiful for giving us so many chances. It's hard at times but I can only hope it gets easier. It's the own mind but also our society who makes it not so easy to learn but you can, of course. I found it enriching to hear personal stories. I have also had phases of isolation and maybe in those it's even sometimes more difficult to maintain a conscious mind (it's not easy to see your own wrong behaviour as easily when you have no one to show you).

From mb Mars says:

JAX 1212 says:

U make my days!…๐Ÿ˜ TY for all you do for SO many people ๐Ÿ’ž
