One might wonder whether a well fed buddhist "alternative" normopath, especially with a name like this, would ever bring himself to truly face the question of who they are. Would it not be easier to deflect that question, to circumvent this psychological difficulty of facing who the criminals are to have compassion with in the first place, and, avoiding real metta, to immediately jump to some auxiliary concept, that is not the wish that the criminal be free of suffering (and thus of hatred too) but only free of hatred (not the practitioner, mind you, but the object of one's practice, so the Freudian wannabe buddhist feels ok about continuing to hate the scapegoat , not the real criminals) , which is, of course, short selling the brahmaviharas ? Is this what we are looking at here ?

Ram Dass … peace upon your soul … you brought a lot of awareness in our lives through your teachings … after being an atheist for more than a decade, I finally found that pot that put all living beings together with no discrimination! Thanks for your time in that body and thanks for your service.
