Summary:
“Awakened Imagination” (1954) is a spiritual self-help book by Neville Goddard that explores the power of imagination as a means to manifest desires and create personal transformation. Goddard, a prominent New Thought leader, posits that everything we experience in life is a direct result of our thoughts and beliefs. The book encourages readers to harness the power of their imagination by visualizing their desired outcomes and maintaining a positive mindset.

Goddard elaborates on the concept of “assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled,” which involves embodying the emotions and mentality of having already achieved one’s goals. By doing so, readers can reshape their reality and attract success, happiness, and prosperity. “Awakened Imagination” is a concise and inspiring guide for those interested in exploring the connection between imagination and personal growth.

Bing A.I -> "J. Krishnamurti was a philosopher and spiritual teacher who explored the nature of the human mind and its relationship to desire, fear, love, and truth. He wrote and spoke extensively on the topic of desire and its implications for human life.

According to Krishnamurti, desire is the root of all psychological conflict and suffering. He said that desire arises from the sensation of something that is pleasurable or painful, and then thought creates an image of that sensation and pursues or avoids it. This creates a division between what is and what should be, which leads to frustration, fear, and sorrow1.

Krishnamurti also said that desire is the basis of self-centredness, which prevents one from seeing things as they are and relating to others with compassion. He said that self-centredness is the result of identifying oneself with one’s desires, beliefs, opinions, experiences, or ideals2.

Krishnamurti did not advocate suppressing, controlling, or escaping from desire, as he thought that would only create more conflict and contradiction. He suggested that one should observe desire without judgement or interference, and see how it operates in oneself. He said that by observing desire without the interference of thought, one can come to understand its nature and origin, and free oneself from its bondage2.

Krishnamurti also distinguished between desire and love. He said that desire is based on self-interest, attachment, and fear, whereas love is free from all these. He said that love is not a sentiment or an emotion, but a state of being that has no motive or direction. He said that love is not the opposite of hate, but the absence of hate. He said that love cannot exist where there is desire, will, or ambition3.

Krishnamurti’s teachings on desire are not meant to be accepted or rejected as a doctrine or a philosophy, but to be investigated and verified by oneself through direct observation and inquiry. He invited his listeners and readers to explore the question of desire for themselves, and to find out if there is a way of living without conflict and sorrow."

i 'discovered' Neville Goddard in 2016. I was already in my 60's. These ideas and lessons are practical, easy to understand and apply, and will turn everything around once you accept and put into practice the notion that YOU are the creator of your own life. It is simple, yet life changing….
