On Today’s Episode:

That feeling you grapple with every day of wanting to change, but struggling to change because 30 minutes into the day you’ve already caved and did what you said you wouldn’t do, is more than paralyzing. It makes you frustrated and angry with yourself. That habit loop of disappointment leads many people to depression and living a mundane life filled with unfulfilling things you don’t even value.

Tony Robbins is a legend that needs no introduction. His work has been changing lives at scale for decades and continues to grow more powerful and more impactful every year.

Tony’s Date with Destiny program was shown in a controlled study by Stanford University researchers to improve the state of mind of clinically depressed participants without the use of drugs, even well after program completion. The power of what you focus on, good or bad impacts the life you experience. As Tony emphasizes in this conversation, a compelling future that allows you to focus on something more than yourself, something meaningful is required to start living your best life.

“Identity is, who are you beyond the problem.”

“Most people think that hypnosis is something that people do to them, but most people are living in a hypnotized state.”

“Self-esteem is earned by yourself for yourself. It comes from doing something incredibly difficult and no one else knows it, you know it that’s why you have esteem for yourself.”

“It’s really what you link pain and pleasure to that creates lasting change.”

“The biggest drug on the planet is problems because everyone has a deep fear.”

“Leverage is what makes change a must not a should.”

“We can get beyond any pain that we’ve been through if there’s something we want to serve more than ourselves.”

My life got transformed in ways unimaginable once I STOPPED doing everything Tony Robbins suggests we do and started doing things that really matter to create real change in one's life. I am not here to condemn Tony , I am well aware of the fact that he is just the product of the multi billion dollar self-help industry that was created to fill the gap due to poor parenting . However, most of what they teach leads to nothing but a great illusion. Since you can not really measure "self-progress " it is easy to allure people into seminars and self-help books and get them hooked on the journey that eventually leads to nowhere.. If you also want to transform your life in ways unimaginable my suggestion is to first stop doing what they teach in these seminars or self-help books and start focusing and channeling your time and energy on what really matters such as building strong principles , habits, working on your biology and focusing on your behavior instead of wasting your precious energy and time on motivation, will-power , positive thinking, affirmations , values and visualization.

Motivation is garbage as how many times we come up with New Year's resolutions only to wither and give up by end of February or early March..Positive thinking leads you to no where , only creates a big illusion that make you feel like you are making progress but you are just delaying doing the real work and just diluting yourself..Affirmations never work because now matter how many times you get in front of the mirror and tell yourself you are the best and you are very confident only to find yourself devastated and upset the moment small adversity comes your way.. Values are vague and can change over time as your circumstances could chance so focusing on creating better values will just create confusion as it will also delay doing the real work..Working on your will-power is an futile attempt as you are a human being with feelings, emotions and certain impulses. Trying to create a strong will-power will only result in disappointment the moment you are put through a real life test where your impulses will take over and will-power will be thrown out the window.. Visualization is also another form of delusion without the real work behind it , if it is not supported by concrete evidence that you are on the right path , it will just add more misery to your life down the road..

Instead of going from seminar to seminar, buying one self-help book after another , get real yourself and start looking inwards ..Start looking at real places where the answers will eventually come from , that is your own mind..Start building strong principles and once in your life make the effort to become a person that lives by these principles.. Start building good habits that will make you a healthier , better person with a clear mind..Get rid of your bad habits that are destroying your life slowly.. Start cultivating a mindset that helps you stop doing things that are not in your best interest..Start working on your biology, we are , after all, a living creature with certain hormones .Find ways to make your biology better , because human mind and human body are all connected , once you start better taking care of your biology you will see a tremendous shift in your own mind and start getting that clarity that will help you reach your goals.. Start doing OMAD ..Instead of wasting your time and energy on these useless tools that they teach you in these seminars, start spending time and energy on how to train your body to eat LESS and eventually find out how your body will THRIVE with very little food in your system .. Use the time and energy to work on making your body better and healthier through a daily exercise..

For once in your life, STOP doing what you have been doing all along, and do SOMETHING ELSE…You might be surprised by who you become…

04:44 💭 Depression's complexity: intertwining biochemical and cognitive factors affect individuals differently.
06:33 🚶 Body language, breathing, and focus significantly impact biochemistry, affecting mental states like depression.
07:15 🎯 Triangle approach: Body use, focus, and language shape emotions and mental states.
10:29 🌟 Importance of a compelling future beyond survival, driving individuals to find purpose and service.
11:53 🌅 Identity and a compelling future crucial in shaping one's resilience and strength amid challenges.
14:28 🚪 Tony focuses on those open to change, using immersion and experiences to drive transformation.
15:26 💡 Experience, not just understanding, leads to change; emotion enhances retention and application of knowledge.
17:19 🔄 Mastery achieved through repetition, turning actions into automatic responses; immersion fosters learning and change.
18:44 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦 For change in children, involving them in environments they respect or find exciting can awaken hunger for growth.
18:59 🔄 Changing behavior requires conforming to the values of a supportive group to gain acceptance and respect.
20:07 🛠 Environment significantly influences behavior change, especially in cases involving negative habits or challenges like drug use.
21:33 💔 Lack of self-esteem isn't resolved by external praise but by earned self-respect from accomplishing personal challenges.
22:29 🎯 Boosting efficiency involves mastering ten impactful steps to reclaim time and take on greater goals.
23:10 🚫 Behavioral transformation sometimes requires an environment shift where rewards and punishments shape new habits.
25:17 🔄 All habits, thoughts, and feelings are conditioned and can be rewired through new conditioning, often more effectively with pleasure-based experiences.
27:21 💡 Overcoming trauma involves finding what one values more than the trauma and using that as leverage to move forward.
31:31 🤝 Often, trauma becomes a person's identity and an excuse for not progressing; shifting to value something more than the problem is key to change.
33:10 📚 Everyone has a life story; changing your life requires changing your story and understanding what role you play in it.

39:24 🧭 Emotions often act as a driving force behind applying intellectual understanding or finding solutions, shaping pivotal moments in life.
41:15 🫀 Emotions, rather than just intellectual understanding, play a central role in making lasting changes; emotional shifts coupled with intellectual comprehension lead to real transformation.
43:19 🧬 Precision use of emotion as a tool for targeted biochemical shifts, akin to a laser, can create lasting change rather than temporary emotional pump-ups.
45:54 🔄 Biochemical changes induced by emotional states can be impactful, leading to strength under stress and aiding in continued growth and improvement.
48:00 💡 Different life stages carry distinct focuses and lessons; understanding these phases aids in navigating personal development.
51:43 ❄ Life has cyclical phases (spring, summer, fall, winter), each influencing societal experiences, providing unique challenges, and opportunities for growth.
53:08 🛠 Despite challenging times, it's crucial to seek opportunity, adapt, and retool oneself, as these times often offer the best chances for growth and success.
54:04 🚀 Offering tools, strategies, and guidance during difficult times helps people adapt, evolve, and thrive, fostering resilience and the ability to navigate challenges effectively.
57:20 🌟 Gratitude is the key: Progress alone doesn't ensure happiness; being grateful for what you have, regardless of your achievements, is crucial for emotional well-being.
58:16 🧠 Train for appreciation: Training your brain to appreciate amidst frustration or worry helps shift focus, enhancing emotional states and the ability to add value to yourself and others.
59:12 🎯 Focus dictates experience: Your life experience reflects where your focus lies—on problems or positives. Shifting focus to gratitude or what you have can change the emotional landscape.
01:00:09 💡 Blueprint for happiness: Aligning life conditions with expectations determines happiness. Changing life or altering expectations is key to maintaining emotional well-being.
01:01:33 🔄 Constant adaptation: Life changes require adjustments in expectations and actions. Adapting to changing conditions prevents falling back into old coping patterns.
01:02:56 📅 Daily practices matter: Sustaining change demands ongoing daily practices rather than relying on occasional bursts of effort or knowledge.
01:03:23 🚀 Habits over discipline: Habitual action trumps pure discipline. Focusing on the positive outcomes of an action helps in maintaining habits even in unpleasant situations.
