A lot of talking 'shit' here. Two men who were able to hustle'kids'.The problem for both was their 'ego', both missed the point ofthe 'ancient wisdom'.These kind of debates are where 'insight' goes to 'die'.
I believe that Ram Dass had a true spiritual awakening. Timothy Leary however never lost his self centered arrogance. He was a defiant man who loved chaos. That is not to say he was not an intelligent man. He could have contributed so much more if he had been able to set is ego aside.
Mr Leary and Mr ram Ass, at no point in your rambling incoherent response did you come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. I award you no points, and May God have mercy on your souls.
They are two halves of the same coin here. I think Ram Dass is being what Leary isn't, with a natural draw toward a balance. That may be a bit heady of a description, but the two have been very Laurel and Hardy. There's a symmetry between them that makes the both of them even more dynamic in the presence of the other (a "dynamic duo," if you will), and they were already dynamic beings all on their own. That's what I took from this, anyway. 🙂 I wish there were more of them together…
I think you know that i know that you know that…you should get a job!
i feel like dass disolves meaning into personal subjective meaninglessness, i think leary is talking more about reality.
