*Attachment means expecting things. If you expect anything, you can be sure
that you are completely attached to the future. The present is the only
thing that exists.*

Only the unloved hate. It is the responsibility of the loved to provide
love for the unloved, so that hatred will die.
NOT BEEN ATTACHED, AT ALL.
I’m Catholic and grew up one; but that didn’t do shit for me and my
depression. I read his book, “The Art of Happiness” and it blew me away.
This man changed my life.
Yes, the self-centered perspective is the 2nd noble truth, the cause of all
suffering; that i am independent in my origination. SO!!! The real
question for the advanced Buddhists out there is: what is the role of the
relative/ dualistic truth in the Buddha realm?
Yes! Yes! Yes~! You are so great HH the Dalai Lama!!! Warm
heartedness!!! That is the key to happiness!!!! Warm everywhere. I good
place to start is with every single person that you see. Then add the fish
))))))) hehehehehe
Very true
The Dalai Lama’s brand of nicey-nicey, common sense spirituality doesn’t
help anyone, just repeats the same old tired maxims that everyone is
brought up hearing. The truth is that those who are very self-interested,
lonely, withdrawn don’t suffer from an excess of ego, which they need to
reduce by empathising with others, they suffer from too little, the result
of which they experience the opinions and feelings of others too much,
therefore they have to withdraw to regain a normal sense of themselves. So
rather than forgetting about themselves they should go more within
themselves, that’s why the great sages of old preached meditation and not
just nicey-nicey altruism that their modern equivalents preach today.
Today, I want to confess my bad behaviors that is making me feel
miserable… Past several day, I have been talking about bad behavior of
others to my friends. Without much compassion in my mind. Which is making
me feel miserable. So for today onward I have decided not to poke other
nose without love and compassion… Thank you for the teaching…
+Kaela Creighton To love hatred is to be a hypocrite.
I like how he explains the logic of it.

TraVis McKinstry, You are right. I always feel that too. I think his these
words has strong power.
Sadly, I know many people like this, the kinda people who love money and
being in control. They all suffer from a similar ailment.
his holiness speaks so many words of wisdom and peace.
Important teaching and so true. All should ponder and implement.
I’ve heard him talk many times… and a lot of those times he has talked
about the same thing… yet everytime I hear him speak, I’m amazed. It’s as
though what I’m hearing, I’m hearing for the first time. Beautiful man.
