I have experience… i recognize that i am angry after 3 sec after geting angry… and that i have a choice to follow this path or just feel understanding of my anger. I was angry half of my life on my father for leaving us and so on… It was getting worse and worse, i was angry and angrier…But then i noticed something…That i'm always watching myself inside of myself when i'm angry and if I join this two awareness the angry part is gone in a moment. i'm not ignoring angry part, just watching from my inner self. Now i dont get so angry and frustrated i just understand it.
I feel that just endulging in the emotion will not let you see its origin and will not make it go away. For me, trying to find out where it comes from gets to the core of the origin of that emotion and then you can understand it and deal with that. If you can do that then you can identify situations that will trigger that and take action accordingly.
This is good advise if you are conscious enough to deal with it, suggestions for this are The Sedona Method give clear instructions. Also Bhakti Yoga, where you take all emotions, and channel it to GOD. I am so ANGRY WHERE IS GOD< I am so sad for God, I am so happy for GOD, ect, it does let it play out without building a story in your head. FEEL IT FEEL IT FEEL IT< Bless you all in Light and Love
