Isn't everyone these days playing the victim often while victimizing others? right wing left wing nobody's responsible I guess not even myself.
Hawkins is much easier to read than listen to, for me.
Great teaching. Dr. Hawkins is always brilliant, precise and clear. Playing the victim is a way to condemn yourself. If you blame another for your life then you are affirming that you are powerless. Those that feel powerless feel they're life is someone else's responsibility. If another is responsible for my life, then I have no power to rise above my fears and pride. The truth is we are all empowered by grace and we all must choose and live with the consequences of our choices.
What an magnificent insight at the end of this video: " to transcend the lower levels of the ego, you let go the pleasure of judgementalism, because you see it's irrelevant, you see that you are trained to get pleasure out of something that has no basis in reality. When you see that it's an arbitrary positionality, you realise that it is fake…." Thank you David!
How can you get anything from a youtube that lasts from 1 to 4 minutes. If you are going to put a youtube on of a profound subject, let the whole thing play.
