anger gets a lot of bad press. there's anger management classes etc. in reality anger is a biochemical function that's served in the evolution of our species. there's a lot of scientific research of other species "feeling" anger too. most commonly anger happens when one identifies with the feeling that he's being mistreated somehow. despite it being true or not. this can be corruption in politics, a personal insult, or even an unliving object that rubs you the wrong way. i would argue revolutions to overthrow corrupt governments are sparked by anger, so it can be directed in a positive matter on a larger scale. but anyway putting all that aside for a moment, i agree with lama here. we have to deal with anger on personal level. use that energy for something positive before it turns to anger. awareness to your own mental state is the first step.

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama gives precious teachings but many persons don’t speak English. A lot of people would like to understand what His Holiness says and put it into practice. Thank you so much to translate in other languages His Holiness teachings.

jmmacb03 says:

Can you at least post several links to support your opinon? Are you saying that the Dalai Lama is a liar, (not a hypocrite?) because you think he actually felt anger against the Tibetians and somehow felt joining the CIA would help. Who was he spying on??
Do you know that he has never expressed anger, hostility or said an unkind word towards the Chinese-EVER.

jmmacb03 says:

I started with making a gratitude list, first on paper and then whenever I was pissed off that my plans when awry. Today my ride fell through and I had to walk 2 hours…so I think about all the things I am grateful for. I was walking on artificial knees that were free, I have never known a day of hunger, it wasn't raining, I didn't have pancreatic cancer like a friend, my Dad is still rockin' at 88…I was born in Canada and not Syria!!
99.9% of the world would love your problems. Breathe.

jmmacb03 says:

If she knew you were angry apologize. If you scared her apologize for scaring her. If you said something you didn't mean, apologize for that. But take responsibility and tell her you looked online for help. Look again online and maybe you both can find some help in your own home town. I used to get so angry, and it only hurts you–and can lead to addiction…

I am very easily irritated and am never tired and have no health complaints (and I am going to be 50 soon). Stop saying things you have no clue about. We live fast life and when you have lots of balls in the air and pressures are high anger and irritation happens. Why do you want to invent some 'facts'?

mybestideas1 says:

Mr. Lama we knew all of that. you did not say any practical suggestion. Try again.

beelzebubblicious6 says:

I think he doesn't recognize that you were not using the literal meaning of "literally."

Samuel Honor says:

What's wrong with my coment?

David Coppola says:

You may have wondered why people who hold onto anger are not only easily irritated but are often tired and may have multiple health complaints. The reason for this is because anger is a frequency that affects the liver, according to thousands of years of accumulated knowledge imparted to us from Traditional Chinese Medicine.
