Hi Jason – in Queensland 2001 – NO DIRECT HI-SPEED FIBER OPTIC in hotels….not in 2001 – and the highest speed at the time – 10Mbps or MUCH LOWER – most taller buildings fed Microwave from a base station. Think back – can you remember you net access in 2001??? it wasn't the kind of FO you can get today nor the speed…at a considerably higher price.. Some hotels or large corps would order a dedicated leased line – at that time – 1 or 2 MEG… (due to the high cost) Call the Marriott and ask them.. (if you can find someone that was there at the time)
