Eckhart Tolle is a spiritual teacher and author, born in Germany and educated at the Universities of London and Cambridge. At the age of 29 a profound inner transformation radically changed the course of his life. He devoted the next several years to understanding, integrating, and deepening that transformation. With his international bestsellers, The Power of Now and A New Earth—translated into over 52 languages—he has introduced millions to the joy and freedom of living life in the present moment. The New York Times has described him as “the most popular spiritual author in the United States”, and Watkins Review has named him “the most spiritually influential person in the world.”

Eckhart’s profound, yet simple teachings have helped countless people around the globe experience a state of vibrantly alive inner peace in their daily lives. His teachings focus on awakening consciousness, which transcends ego and discursive thinking, and can be seen as the next step in human evolution. In the awakened state of presence, we discover what Eckhart describes as our essential identity—who we are beneath the surface—and its power for transforming our selves and our world.

Thanks and it's interesting to be aware of two dimensions the thoughts world and the subject which is the field of awareness in which the thoughts arises.practice is really essential othwerwise it would only be a feel good aspect.

Midosh Brown says:

Starting from 15:07 say it all
When you here the truth it rings powerfully in your head
Right now i have challenge in my health situation (overweight)
And in my financial situation (not making money)
My relationship situation (no partner to share love with)
My professional situation (i can't share values with society)
I believe i can grow from these challenges
And i forget to say something
I always find myself solving problems faster and better when i think it's challenge but when i think it's a problem i always fail measurably…

Billy Boffin says:

Nonsense from being to the end.

Charles Barnes says:

Enjoy cleaning a toilet. See the buity of a dead rotting animal. Smell it and let it just be a smell. Listen to something you don't like or want to hear. Truly focus and try to fully understand. You can always choose to disapprove after, but understand it first.

here now says:

a moment of stillness is a good start to anything

Thank you

Teenie Martoonie says:

Soooo helpful, Mr. Tolle! I really like the comparison of the "automatic" heartbeat and our arising thoughts. Early in ACIM, Jesus says our mind is undisciplined. So true. Thank you!

MasterMike says:

Great video as always, but this is another repost like the last video.

James Cadzow says:

I love how Eckhart has such a simplistic way of teaching the awakening process that a child could understand. Thank you for helping all of humanity.. You're truly a blessing….

Jason Williams says:

Beautifully explained and simple to grasp. After studying with Tolle for a few years this talk is one of my favorites yet. Well done Maestro 🔥

Lauren James says:

"The ego is the sense of self that arises when the mind is completely unobserved" [10:39] It is so much fun to catch the thoughts and then dismiss them 🙂
