I have experienced tremendous loss with no family or friend support. I also had an abusive marriage and divorce. Ex wife raised my son to disrespect me and now he doesn't talk to me anymore because I called him on the disrespect. I am 56 years old and my whole life has been abused. How can I have a positive perspective now when I am all alone?
It's absolutely true! If you're over 40 and have lived enough, you know it. Problems are unavoidable, but how you face them is what makes the difference. Especially during tough times, and I mean, really tough times.
Thank you Tony! To fight bad stress, I practice sports, long-distance running most of all. What sports do you practice? Do you have some advice on this?
I think many battles are lost to binary systems. "I have to be exactly that or it's not worth trying". Except any new you is built over time and different from what's in your imagination. So if you turn the fantasy from a guiding light to a God you worship, then since an ideal is unnattainable by definition no wonder you don't even start.
