Ram Dass invites us to move toward our fears, sitting with them and slowly softening until we can embrace the things that scare us. Our resistance only exacerbates the fear and through observation we begin to understand its roots. (LA, CA – 1/31/1987)

I can tell this is 70's ram dass he really doesn't breathe before answering or contemplate plus his voice is higher pitched. Not saying it's good or bad just that I find it interesting I can tell which decade ram dass I'm hearing. I tend to listen to and resonate the most with 90's ram dass, sometimes 80's dass, but typically never 70's even though I enjoy it and be here now is brilliant. I am more a 'how can I help guy' and that's more 80's when ram dass came into his heart more. Though I also feel when you listen to his mid 90's (pre stroke) you can start to hear the crotchiness of age began to take over. And now I can't listen to ram dass speak but I can watch him. It's too hard for me to watch him struggle with words when he was once the most elegant with words. Anyways. I can always listen to whatever era dass. I just wanted to share my experience. God bless. God bless ram dass for serving so selflessly and being my mentor. God bless all of us.
thank you for this
Amazing :)
