This is a great story… I have actually pondered the thought and was happy to see the headline.
However… theoretically; given that a person must pass away before they can be reborn… or reincarnated… how can even the Delai Lama himself choose which body he wants to be reborn into… theoretically, he could be reborn into any living person, mammal or other creature that shares this universe… or at least; this world.
That is not to say that it is not preferable to a non believer choosing the successor.

The world must take more concrete actions orther than just talk. Talking since 1959 is more than enough. Apply sanctions to china as EU and America are doing now to Russia.
