Roberto Bogomolni was originally trained as a pathologist in his native Argentina, at the University of Buenos Aires.
Dr. Bogomolni’s scientific work spans more than 50 years, with broad research interests. He worked on microwave dielectric spectroscopy of photosynthetic structures, photochemistry of bacterial rhodopsins, structure and function of proton ATPases, and more recently, in a collaboration with Dr. Winslow Briggs at the Carnegie Institution for Science (Stanford), on the molecular mechanisms of photoactivation of plant phototropins and related bacterial pigments.
In 2018 Dr. Bogomolni founded LOVNOD Biosciences Inc. and became its founding CEO. This company focuses on analytical services for the agriculture Industry and on the development and commercialization of biological amendments for legume agriculture. Since 2019 Dr. Bogomolni has been a partner of Dr. Rajnish Khanna at I-Cultiver Inc. where he is an active participant of all company endeavors.
