Eckhart points out that being in the company of unconscious people will (at least for now) be more common than it is not. He offers methods for both maintaining and intensifying Presence when you’re disturbed by others, whether it’s a beloved family member or a complete stranger.

I will save this one. The one thing that I will add is that the energy on a Friday night at the town that I grew up in was of very angry reactivity. That energy remained until Saturday afternoon sometime. I would do all of my shopping after that energy changed.
what do you do when your loved on keeps talking about the past with you. I am trying to remain present but shes keeps talking about the past
Remain as you an outsider observing whats going on
The point I get from here, if you cannot change it (except those extreme toxicant scenarios he mentioned), accept it, rather than feel frustrated / annoyed, once you accept it, you are at peace…Thanks for sharing.
Wow, very interesting discussion! Great question. I have experienced all the things you both talked about. I live in a mostly quiet family oriented residential area within a fairly large city, but I also have noticed energetically heightened activity midweek. I had not realized this could be the collective energy of people around me. That is a helpful insight. I have learned from my yoga classes about accepting what is. One day we had the same experience of a leaf blower disturbing our peaceful yoga restfulness. Our yoga teacher said exactly the same thing – accept anything that appears as being part of the meditation process which we can simply observe and not react to. Of course we had to endure the 5 or 10 minutes the noise continued, but it did go away and then quietness returned again for the rest of the yoga session. Sometimes when things like that happen, it helps to laugh about it. A leaf blower starting up at the exact moment you are practicing quietude just might be one of those paradoxes of the Universe, presenting the opportunity I suppose to practice our spiritual techniques.
So, stop complaining. Accept everything as is.
-everything is exactly how it's supposed to be-.
Someone should invent a silent leaf blower.🌈
Eckhart, you just get younger and longer looking. You might do a talk on presence for beauty tips.
Stop using hacking tools on us you cheat. You will pay for being a fraudster
Eckart you are keeping me alive and Present. Thank You for You
Mr Tolle thank you so much for Enlightening me🥰🥰🥰
How…. ? Here’s one way… sweep away prejudice, enable your self to think honestly, encourage your self to search diligently within yourself, then, if you wish, you can join us on the Broad Highway. With this attitude you cannot fail. Then strive towards REAL tolerance, not to “tolerate” like having your arms crossed like a security guard or with a scrunched up nose like your smelling something sour… but head towards real tolerance of other people's shortcomings and viewpoints and a respect for their opinions are attitudes which make us more useful to others. (You don’t have to agree with them. What they are doing/feeling/saying or not doing/feeling/saying might just be real and true for them. If, I or we can do the above, a spiritual law of attraction will happen…
Thank you sure really helped
I avoid people, too asleep and too ego driven.
