In our form of Buddhism (Mahayana), the number 108 as you mentioned holds a lot of value.
Like for example, there are exactly 108 deities that we worship. And among them, the one at the top is "Nirvana". As we all know that Nirvana is actually transcending from the human body and being one with the universe, or rather breaking free from the life cycle. But in our form of Buddhism we also see it as a deity.
At my paternal place (located right between the border of India and Nepal), we have a monastery where there are these sculptures of all the 108 deities. It is one of the only two monasteries in Asia which have these effigies.
Just wanted to put this forth. Not bragging or anything like that. π
Have you realised the similarities between Islamic prayer and Buddhist prayer/meditation? Not just the movements but also the meaning behind them. It's mind-blowing!
Btw such beautiful shots!
Your channel is so underrated brother. I'm from India and I highly recommend you to come to India, go to Leh Ladakh where the Buddhism is practiced in every house, visit Dharmshala (in the state of Himachal Pradesh), where his holiness stays in his monestry. You can even gain knowledge about Hinduism. I bet that meditating in the region of Himalayas will be a life changing experience for you.
Keep up with the good work and bring us more of this gem like content.
Love from India
I am so impressed and I am tibetan
I relate so much! After my inflammation I realised I want to live a more present and slow life so I started my own journey with reading up on mediation, mindfulness, how to handle stress and pain. I found a few techniques that works for me like painting with the purpose of not value it and to focus on my breathing and just let the brush do whatever it wants. It is hard! But it is a proses where you learn everyday to be more presence and you notice more often when you arenβt so you can remind yourself to come back to the presence which I call the endless training.
I think I'm in love! Nathaniel if you ever want a date with a single mom of three..I'm in rural Oklahoma !!!!
your sponsors are actually helpful
Interesting. My shift starts @ 4am so 5 days a week I wake at 3am. After my day is over Iβm in bed by 7pm. Personally I can tell you this, itβs no life.
Ohh boy after this video I am sure they will ban you in china π
Try not to support your back meditating teach it to support itself.
