Chrome Dog says:

You don't have to "believe" in science. It works whether or not you believe in it.
The rest – not so much – much of it doesn't even work if you DO believe in it (and when it does, that's observational bias at work)

spooky_bat_queen says:

Girl I am the same exact way with religion and stuff. It's relieving to know I'm not the only one.

goldennight says:

They didn't give like a discount code or anything? I definitely would love to check this out!

Greatwhite75 says:

Wow you sound crisp!

Wildflower Runner says:

I actually co-owned an occult shop when I was 19 (it was mostly a book store, and it had books on a lot of religions). Actually, the cops showed up at the store one day because we were burning sage and our neighbor – a hair salon – thought we were smoking large amounts of weed. LOL! That was fun explaining to the cops.

This Is Raven says:

hoo wow im sure the smell was amazing when you opend the box!
good unboxin!magick and spirituality is a really hard subject to talk about because it's so elusive. i don't think science will get to research spirituality and magick as long as they research matter also i think psychology doesn't counts as scientific ..so yeah science still stuck on matter while spirituality is about the spirit and psychology is about what we call in hebrew nefesh (that is a different layer of the soul, also same for spirit)

and ill end this with a quote:
Do you not think that there are things which you cannot understand, and yet which are; that some people see things that others cannot? But there are things old and new which must not be contemplate by menยดs eyes, because they know or think they know some things which other men have told them. Ah, it is the fault of our science that it wants to explain all; and if it explain not, then it says there is nothing to explain.โ€
โ€• Bram Stoker, Dracula

p.s bram stoker was part of a magick order

Emma Jacobs says:

Lold at "arghhh I'm doing an incantation" ๐Ÿฆ‡๐Ÿ˜…

Misanthrope says:

I see myself as an Agnostic Atheist. Leaning towards Atheism. I am not into magic of any kind, but I do have a weak heart for Gothic and Satanic things.
I do not practice any of it, but I find the philosophy and the symbolism attractive. The darker, the better. (not speaking of "evil" here). And I do not believe in ghosts and spirits
I am a extreme metal head, but I do also have a softer side.
I often use Sigil of Baphomet and Pentagram imagery, but not because of what they may represent, but because they mean something different to me.

However, I do think we can be spiritual. For me it's a definition thing. Or rather a state of the mind. I feel incredible spiritual and in touch with nature, when I take a walk in the forest nearby.
My form of spiritualism is like the dark matter in the universe. (which is just a theory). You cannot see it, or touch it with your hand. But yet, we can feel and "see" the influence of it.
But to tell you the truth, the only time I feel like this, is when I am stoned, so I do know why I feel like this at those times.

At the end of the day, it's just all in your head and your own philosophical translation of things.
I do not believe that you can, go into a shop and buy something to get rid of the negative energy that is supposedly present.
Energy is all around us so how do you determent it's negative and harmful?
I simply just think it's a mental thing. If you think there is stuff present, it will be. If you think the "magic" to remove it works, it will do so. And vice versa.
Almost like a Placebo-effect.

But as long as it feels alright for the user, to do these things, there is no "right" or "wrong".
We do a lot of stuff that makes us feel better and spread "positive energy" . Some go out and buy clothes, while others light a candle.

Dahlya Drastic says:

I loved everything in that box,
I need a feather for my sage. Enjoy your goodies!

Ellena Mackay says:

I'm quite similar in my beliefs but I do lean more spiritually because science had done very little for my mental health, it only helped me temporarily with medication when I had problems. Spirituality helped me cope with those problems and see things more positively and I like to say I am very skilled at tarot and I am a part of a coven who help my understanding of Wicca and Paganism ๐Ÿ˜€ I have even made "non-believers" to be more open with spirituality because my tarot readings were quite spooky. ๐Ÿ˜› If any of my predictions put people at ease then I think that is a good thing, people need to worry less nowadays and if Magick helps that then I see no harm in it. I'm a Grey Witch so I have balance with "light" and "dark" magick ๐Ÿ™‚ However, I have very strong morals when it comes to love spells as they should never take away the willpower of another person, I am perfectly fine with attracting love but forcing someone to love you through magick leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. :/

Ferry Keizer says:

As an eclectic Pagan (I suppose you could call it that, some call it universalism so I'm told.) I find myself drawn to the philosophical side of religious practices. I value that what inspires us, brings us solace and keeps us wondering and pondering. Like with fantasy, it's not real yet it inspires me. What can't be been seen or truly witnessed fuels my curiosity and my passion, it makes me want to understand the world we live in and the people we meet. In that sense, I find solace in the unknown, because the journey to understanding and learning of all these cultural and spiritual wonders is more important to me than the answer of what is real and what isn't. In a sense that journey made it real because it helped me find harmony and peace in my mind. I suppose I care as much about possibility and positive influences as I care about truth. Not saying that you should go around chasing fairytales ofcourse, just that there's no shame in having your mind wander from time to time.

My incredibly vague description of my beliefs aside, I loved the goodies in the box. Damnit I wish I had money to spare! ๐Ÿ™‚

setoredan says:

That was a pretty awesome unboxing. Amazing that there is a monthly box one can get for pagan/Wiccan/witchcraft supplies. Have to thank you for sharing this with us.

MutantVermix says:

I think you may be an apatheist. An apatheist is someone is apathetic towards religion. I basically live my life, and I don't care about religion kind of thing. I'm a spiritual person as well, but not pegan at all. I think the whole goth witch thing is cliche, and a lot of people go into it thinking it makes them more spooky or something. This is my opinion, and everyone has opinions. It what makes us human. This is how I feel about peganism. I don't hate peganism, but I'm very sceptical about it. Not everyone believes what you believe. I respect all beliefs, and the people who practice, but obviously I'm not pegan myself, so we have disagreements. I've never believed in peganism at all, so… I think tarot cards are crazy and stupid. Shuffling a deck of cards and picking three off the top isn't magic. It just seems like it is, because everyone of those cards is relatable. I think polytheism is crazy as well. We're in 2017, we don't pray to rain gods and all that other shit, and we all haven't died due to natural disaster. Oh well, multiple gods don't exist I guess, because less than 1% if the population prays to them.

Stephanie von B says:

No need to be confused, you can be a witch with any spiritual belief, including agnosticism. As Crowley said, magick is just creating change in conformity with your will. Science is just beginning to understand how this can be true in the physical dimension, but it is coming along.

Also as an FYI, that is not natural citrine–I wish they wouldn't say that! It's heat-treated (by man) amethyst. You can tell because the bottom of it is white and the color of citrine is usually more iced tea gold and goes all the way through the stone. Google amethyst points and you'll see that's just like one but yellow.

Thanks for the video!

tstymctst says:

Really love the idea of this, but my life is unfortunately not currently set up in a way that would allow me to fully appreciate this kind of subscription. I will keep it in mind if my circumstances change, though.

Samuel Haight says:

I used to absolutely swim in the occult. Now I just kind of dip my toes in once in a while ๐Ÿ™‚

Boden By Night says:

I think it's very common feeling as you do. I do aswell. I think exploring what one believes in should be a journey and it is ok to change mind about things aswell. Some people seem to think that you have to decide a religion and then stick to that no matter what. I think it would be interesting if you made a video about occultism and paganism within the gothic subculte. you talked a little bit previously about how you and your friends performed wiccan rituals in the 90s. what was it you did and how did you get the information on how to perform it? I also had some magic stones, lit candles and tried different methods to see into the future or get messages from spirits.

Kira Suzuki says:

When I was a child, my mother would tell my siblings and I that every single system of religion and spirituality on the planet carries some speck of truth to it. I'm a born and raised Christian with a near obsession with crystals, herbs and the likes. The only reason I don't delve deeper into this fascinating world is really because the Bible tells me not to, and I'm okay with that. I adore incense and the beliefs surrounding the act of burning herbs and reading about earth religions is a little hobby of mine. I don't necessarily believe in them but it doesn't make it any less interesting.

MacabreMom says:

I echo you sentiments and those in the comments that I believe in science, but I also believe there's things beyond what science can understand.

DocRattie says:

That box looks interesting. I'd like to give it a try, just to see what it's like and what I personly would get from it. But 78$ for international delivery is quite a lot just for trieing it out . ๐Ÿ™

Michael Silva says:

I does make sense. You have no religion. You are spiritual though. That is a good thing. : )

Blood_Rose says:

I'm a Christian orthodox,but still, I love herbs, crystals and incense… And dammit, I was thrilled when I heard "It's like a TARDIS in there" !!! Hello fellow Whovian!!! <3 <3 <3

cryptsandcatacombs says:

I believe that there's certain things that cannot h explained by science sometimes you can't prove it but you know its real based on your personal experiences. I am a spiritualist not religious and I like qualities from Wicca and paganism and interacting or communicate in with the dead and that I have the belief of the human spirit. I myself am admittingly spiritual lost but that's the only rational explanation on why I am the way i am. I love that you have this aspect of yourself. I've heard of the box subscription for them for a while but don't have the money. I myself love mediphysocal or witchcraft stores. lol when I was a baby bat I also thought witchcraft was apart of been goth lol so I to performed alpr of spells over the years
but the funny thing is I don't like Bering called a witch very cool video. I would love to see more of this.

Selenite is sooooo amazing. I envy you so much. But I do have the same little copper bowl! Make sure you polish it occasionally as it will tarnish easily.

Sweet Insanity says:

Your feelings on religion, science, and new age shops are exactly like mine. It is very difficult to explain to people…I don't feel so alone now!
