This message of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, recorded by Chris Hinze has been my guide ever since I came across it in 1995.
Thank you, Your Holiness for your light and wisdom – and Thank you, Chris for recording it and embedding it in such great inspirational music.
This clip is just part of the full message. The CD – TIBET IMPRESSIONS I – can be ordered online from Chris’ website:

stupid self indulgent music = bad art
can't hear what he is saying because of pointless music

It's always a pleasure hear words of wisdom from this amazing being.

cant understand everything because the sound in the background is too loud.

please watch my new youtube video to strengthen connection with a buddha of infinite compassion whose blood is commonly taken as a antidote…om mani padme hum

@Trickywoo12 That's great! Did you know Lucus designed all that stuff straight out of Buddhism. This was due to his influence from J. Campbell's work.

MettaTaiChi says:

Thankyou so much for sharing this wonderful advise from His Holiness. We are with him on this whole heartedly.

Ashton says:

no matter how many times i listen to the Dalai Lama, or how much he inspires me, i just can't stop imagining him as Yoda. Next time he speaks, close your eyes and listen, to Yoda.

BuddhaByNature says:

@honkyoku
thank you for your feedback – YES – I heared that I should turn down the music – but I did not create the MIX – it's on the CD 'Tibet Impressions' by Chris Hinze … so I cannot change it…

Robert A. Jonas says:

Thank you for posting this video. I have been on three small-group retreats (Buddhist-Christian dialogue) with the Dalai Lama. I had the honor of playing the shakuhachi for the meditations on these retreats. Just being in his strong, beautiful presence has changed my life for the better. One little bit of feedback: I like the music that you've added, but sometimes it's too loud, so that it's hard to understand what His Holiness is saying. Turn down the music volume a bit. Thanks.

wagyora says:

Just try not to smile as he smiles. 🙂

ondix says:

please repost with less volume on music you can barely hear all of his words. I like his message, make it more lucid not hidden under art

Elizabeth O says:

His Holiness describes the true artist.

HHK17 says:

@PlanetarPL – Thank you for your commentary – it's always so satisfying that someone out there 'gets it' … that it reaches someone's heart and touches that innate essential goodness – the light in the center … thank you …

Vitor Joaquim says:

it's a shame for the bad mix. If the purpose of the video is the message, than the music shouldn't be there… it's alienating the message, and controlling the mood of the "reader-listener"; precisely what the message is not trying to do/make…
Anyway, thanks for sharing! 😉
