Emotions are the foundation of reality. What we feel influences (or distorts) our perception.

It’s time to learn more about the Emotional Spectrum, and apply these fascinating principles to our Self-Healing and Self-Actualisation journey.

In this episode of Inner Work Essentials we’re going to explore the most accessible map of consciousness available – The Levels of Calibrated Consciousness by David Hawkins!

This video will teach you how to leverage both conceptual and pragmatic applications of emotional literacy to evolve your personal relationship to both yourself and other people – in addition to accelerating your personal spiritual growth and spiritual awareness.

Welcome to INNER WORK ESSENTIALS: the 52 episode series designed to provide you with an intense, diverse and holistic roadmap for full-spectrum self-healing and transformative self-education!

It’s been a long time coming… with over 350 books researched in the last 27 months… but I’m overjoyed to FINALLY be sharing what I’ve learned about the Inner Working Landscape and how to do Inner Work at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.

Want to know where this series is heading? Read my teaching intentions below!

INNER WORK ESSENTIALS: SERIES AIMS (STATEMENT OF DIRECTION)

1) Provide the student with an informed and representative overview of multiple complementary therapeutic modalities to support their self-healing process; with special encouragement placed upon the auto-therapeutic application of particular healing modalities for particular problems at particular stages in their journey.

2) Nourish the intellectual and spiritual maturation of the student by familiarising them with the most exciting, challenging and credible concepts in developmental psychology, consciousness studies and transpersonal metaphysics; with central emphasis being placed upon comparative analysis of multiple complex theories.

3) Encourage an empowered and more authentic sense of individual self-expression as a combined outcome of the two previous intentions, plus the application of holistic lifestyle principles, self-educational practises, and foundational healthy habits.

INNER WORK ESSENTIALS: EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

On completion of this series, the student should expect to be:

1) Auto-therapeutic. The student will feel generally competent in their ability to select and self-administer the most suitable therapeutic modality on a full-spectrum basis: ranging from the somatic resolution of central childhood wounds to the everyday self-regulation of symptomatic stress responses such as anxiety and addiction.

2) Closer towards baseline integral consciousness (Wilber). Through their combined efforts of rigorous self-inquiry and critical engagement with recommended reading material, the student will have significantly developed their intellectual and spiritual maturity to a noticeable degree, in likely correlation with their depth of engagement.

3) Holistically Empowered. The student will enjoy a meaningful expansion of their physical, emotional, sexual, and creative expression as a result of their healing and expansion work. In short, they will be healthier, happier and feel more complete.

4) Self-educational. The student will have felt organically inspired to move beyond free video content and create a self-structured learning arc which takes maximum advantage of at least several dozen inner working books mentioned within the course. The student will consequently enjoy lifelong learning habits including: critical research skills, long-term focus, and the ability to know when to stop studying.

Its levels of consciousness not levels of emotion.

Anton Novo says:

Just feel what ever comes up,instead of reacting and Let It Go. What ever It Is. Be it Pain,Some kind of Emotion, or sensation. You Dont have to intellectualize what you are feeling, nor name it.Just let it burn through without your judgement and Thats It.

JMO8A Veda says:

I have deja vu sometimes it triggers anger sometimes it triggers fear or love or just heavy thoughts

Bodhi Yoga says:

Totally disagree. What causes these lower emotional states is trauma/blocked emotions that can be removed/cleared with healing work. Then the patterns of lower emotional states no longer arise and we naturally raise our vibration to the higher states.

Essentially we are stuck in lower vibrations by trapped emotions until we clear them. Trying your best to stay positive or working hard to think positive is kind of just like shovelling buckets of water on a sinking ship.

When you find or create a healing modality that works then you use it and move up the ladder of consciousness slowly. Once those blocked emotions are cleared it doesn't require anymore effort, you just stay at that higher level of consciousness. You are not going to regress into lower vibrations unless there is some underlying reason for it.

Soukayna Alala says:

Nailah♥️ I love you

T Soul Land says:

The first three levels are the soul alarm system , the second three are the names that are under the control of the “ brain identify” ( the partner), the other six levels are the names that are under control of the “spiritual identity”. You are in certain levels of those spiritual names or let say goodness names ( names from pride to peace), those names are motivated by anger and love energy . As you notice most names that are of anger character are controlled by “brain identity” while others which are of love character, are controlled by “spiritual identity”. In general the identity consists of two things which are ego and freewill . You are here to level up all those names by self awareness which require life experience. also you are here to get the maximum general awareness you can achieve by the things you best can do . but why you need to level up those names?!! you need to level up your of awareness in general and level up your goodness as both are the one which determined your ability to be happier. So to have a higher ability of become happier is the target , you life is a chance of achieving this goal , where your spiritual identity is not able by itself to level up your awareness and level up your goodness names which are of anger character. that is why for your spirit to integrated with your body. that integration created “the brain identity” , which it's main function is to level up awareness in general by knowing (your spiritual awareness and your brain awareness) , so now you have two identity inside your soul which are , the spiritual identity and the your brain identity. The healthy state is when your brain identity is under your spiritual identity control so it leads the level up process in healthy way where you will be happier. The unhealthy state when the opposite happened.
You alarm system works when you do things which decrease the your goodness level and your awareness level and also works when your brain identity is totally in control. If you destroy your alarm system, you will not have a sense for all that process either you are in a positive or on a negative state. In the same time you don't need to have the alarm system overwhelm you , just expect that “this is mental state is out of my alarm system and let it go” , So be careful of what you are programming yourself. One more thing, you alarm system has reseat point, it means if you insisted to be in low level of you previous awareness and righteousness level, the alarm system will rest itself to that level after a while, so if you decided again to go less than that level the system will work a gain to alarm you . where if you get a very low level where your alarm system become so strong at that time you may be overwhelmed by that system so maybe at that time maybe look kill yourself to end your suffering which is the wrong decision. The model I explained is the “Islamic model”

Amy Lyne says:

So glad you dive into the complexity of emotions in this video. I read "Map of Consciousness" about a month ago and I liked how Hawkins was able to articulate "Love" as a core state of being. Moving from positional perception to multidimensional vision. I thought he wrote well on the "perceptional" aspect of consciousness but the emotional descriptions were a bit lacking. Can someone weep (grieve) and be in a state of love? I think so.

Once again, great video 👏

Grant Castillou says:

It's becoming clear that with all the brain and consciousness theories out there, the proof will be in the pudding. By this I mean, can any particular theory be used to create a human adult level conscious machine. My bet is on the late Gerald Edelman's Extended Theory of Neuronal Group Selection. The lead group in robotics based on this theory is the Neurorobotics Lab at UC at Irvine. Dr. Edelman distinguished between primary consciousness, which came first in evolution, and that humans share with other conscious animals, and higher order consciousness, which came to only humans with the acquisition of language. A machine with primary consciousness will probably have to come first.
