the last thing he said is really true, for me and i guess for other people depression is just a test if it leads to anything, they would never admit it though. then you find out it doesn't work and it's over

Eckart Tolle, you say unhappiness or pain doesn't have a purpose(or meaning for feeling it), but as I recall you were in a deep depression and had high anxiety before you awakened, thus the pain and unhappiness had a purpose. Look at you now.

It was a real eye opener one day when I realize that in my unhappiness I was trying to manipulate God into being guilty about my plight. This made me laugh and broke the unhappiness spell. Thanks Echart for your insights.

onreact says:

After enlightenment there is no waiting. Before enlightenment there is no waiting either. Stop waiting now. You can always decide whether you wait or not. Even when you "have to" wait you can meditate. What also helps is comforting others by your presence. You can chat with them.

Helping those weaker than you who are suffering more from waiting is a sure sign you are on the right path. For example when I use public transportation and I sit meditating I will often give up my seat to elderly people or children. Sitting is unhealthy anyway.
