"The Only One Thing That I know Is That I know Nothing." (Socrates). Two of the most religious humans I have known were Plato & Socrates. Plato was a wealthy aristocrat and Socrates was an impecunious man. What is hiding beneath the Ego? A "Super Ego!" The Ego does not exist on one plain. It exists through several plains 11- 14 levels below strings. The haughty, domineering characteristics of man cannot be found in one set of DNA. You must dive deeper into the cellular structure. How do you erase the Ego? GOD! Credit God for everything. "Real" knowledge can ONLY come from God. I suggest you read Plato's Republic again Eckhart. This should be required reading in Grade 12.

How to stop opposing the egoic thoughts ? I feel like if I have this thoughts , then I get reminded to breath and come back and then the thought goes and comes back stronger a few min later. It feels like I oppose the thoughts and maybe I go through the process wrong ?

When I realised my parents are subject to their own conditioning it was so freeing and I no longer had unrealistic expectations of them. People can only operate from the level of consciousness they have access to.
