BIOMAT – http://bit.ly/monkbiomat The Biomat is a “pad” which you can put down on your mattress to help reduce stress and fatigue. It’s based on technology NASA discovered to be the safest, most beneficial “light wave,” and also involves negative ions (like those found in nature, forests, and waterfalls), to help turn off the stress response.

Spot on! I had the same journey, over ten years before I gave it up.

Eugene Butler says:

I dont think you understand what it means to be spiritual of have a connection with "god" or the universe. It sounds like you gave up on people more than anything. But you other videos are great!

Amdecreations says:

I noticed some people leave Christianity because they say if God exist why did my brother, father, mother etc die then go to spirituality and then say life is better but not thinking people live and die at anytime. And as you pointed out blaming God.

077 Di says:

Buddhism is religion like other religions and Dalai Lama is fake…for example

077 Di says:

Lots of time Spiritualy of others is rubbish

noorulain naseem says:

Well maybe its your perspective and capacity to understand something and apply it in ur life that determines its truth for you.
Spirituality is a vast subject and it applies on many levels, to me its a source and inspiration to reach beyond material boundaries and bodily constraints we are born with. People always interpret things according to thier level of awareness and wisdom.
Bless you.

EndoEater says:

Dude just because some people dont get it right or misunderstand spirituality or misunderstand the messages doesnt mean you have to give up on it completely

Chris Dale says:

I've watched a few of your videos and enjoyed them but this is a self-improvement talk, not a talk about what spirituality. Maybe you shoudl investigate more deeply what your 'Spririt' is. To me, spirituality is about connecting into my deepest core essence, in whatever way I feel called to do that, and it goes far deeper than any ego transformation stuff. Ego purifying is a helpful side effect, but that's not what it's all about. Working on oneself is cool and all, whether it be your finances, health, relationships whatever… but be careful not to misunderstand this as spirituality. Fixing or helping oneself is 'spirituality' from an ego's perspective. A more efficient way to help oneself is to be still and see what arises and be with it, and not try to fix it in any way. Meditate, breathe, other quiet, stillness inducing practices. These can lead to actual disidentification with mind & body. But ego hates this approach because it doesn't make sense to it, it wants something to do since it actually takes one's mind much deeper than it's identification with itself but into awareness of "I" or "God" or "Self" or whatever one feels comfortable labeling it as. From this place all ego battles are seen as hardly important, and because of that the awkward of unpleasant parts of ego naturally fall away because one isn't so focused on them giving them only more attention and solidity. Just be, and all that other stuff takes the back seat. Ego doesn't die, it just becomes an instrument to be played instead of a master ruling your experience. Anyways, to me it sounds like your mind is getting more and more exhausted, and that's a good thing. It can't stop itself and so instead goes back to trying to fix itself. Bring it together. You are doing everything right. Thanks for making these videos.

Jim Carey is an anti-Trump fuckwit though….

Lina Staponaite says:

As funny as this may sound even to myself, because I am 100% for spiritual quest in life… but I totally agree with the thoughts you expressed in this video!

But I guess you don't have to give up spirituality/ faith in order to become a better person. Because that's the core teaching in almost every spiritual path. There's this analogy given in the Vedas, for example, that you cannot approach the sun without burning, the same way you cannot approach God without having to change or give up certain traits of your persinality. And that involves working with yourself! As well as praying for God's/ universe's/ mighty forces' help.

It's only actually the question if we live according to the values that we admire. Or "I cannot hear what you're saying/ preaching because your actions speak louder than words."

Kay Nicole says:

Lol, blaming Mercury retrograde

Character i agood start for most people

Gary Ferrão says:

Well said video. Some times, it just boils down to luck/fate/destiny. How do you blame yourself for the opportunity you couldn't get? But other times, we don't know what we can control; and what we can change. And what we have to change is this environment of superstition around us.

L!SA says:

To create videos like this, analyzing, realizing, understand more is already spirituality, which is coming naturally!

Connect to Soul says:

Thank you for your own dependable insight, creativity also knowledge to guide my journey to getting more consciously understanding and so spiritually connected.

LLyrification says:

what you did is spiritual cultivation… is it not? your title is misleading

Alec Slone says:

Alex there is so much I would like to talk to you about this subject. If you are willing to let me know.

Laila Abdul-Mani says:

I appreciate your honesty and openness about this topic and it's an opinion I've heard time and time again from people put off by spirituality or religion. Humans are flawed individuals so it's natural for some of us to use a higher power as an excuse. That's an inherently human flaw. It's not a flaw in spirituality itself or God. I'll speak for my religion only because it's the one I know the best; Islam teaches self-growth and encourages us to continue to work on ourselves and put in the work for the things we want.

There's this famous saying from our Prophet (saw) which is: Tie your camel, and place your trust in Allah (God). Meaning; take the necessary precautions (educate yourself in marketing, work on creating habits that will improve your health, just put in the WORK) andddd place your trust in God having full reassurance that you've done everything in your power to achieve your goals. Don't just leave your "camel" wandering in the desert and when it gets lost, decide that that was your destiny. That's ridiculous.

Are there still Muslims who go around living broke, unhealthy lives, and complaining that this is just their destiny and the "will of God"? Hell yeah. But that's a human fault, not the religions'. I know this was a long comment, but I hope I was able to paint another perspective. 🙂
I love your work, keep it up!

MariaMars says:

It's ok to feel lost.

SpaceRanger says:

This is true. After hearing some of my colleges complaining about presentation speeches in class, I figured out how stupid the voice in our head is that puts that fear there. IT WAS NOT THAT SCARY hahha

rashid abdulla says:

procastination

SuperCaptious says:

To me, it doesn't sound like you gave up spirituality. Rather, it sounds like you gave up on false-spirituality

Desmond Davis says:

I find the self improvement quest to be a spiritual quest. If you consider the solar plexus chakra that kinda gives confirmation that it is.

Komik Videolar says:

People tend to think that I am an atheist even tho I am kind of religious. I am a sufi muslim who believes all religions are holy and true. I have studied the most of the scriptures and know hell lot of about religions but I don't depend on God/Universe. I even hardly pray or wish something from God. I prefer being self dependent. If I want something I go get it. Don't pray and wait it to happen. Even tho I am freak about religions I personally don't reccomend people religions because most of them will forgot spirituality and became biggots.

Will Will says:

I don't think you reading any good books. Most people mediate to reduce stress and that is scientifically proven and to be more aware of their thoughts. Being negative is the complete opposite of spirituality and God. Dude, try studying Wayne Dyer, Tony Robins, or Jesus. They all are spiritual and teach positivity. When you are positive is why positive things happen to you. That is what spirituality is.

William Benson says:

How does one accept or resolve oneself to the tough decisions that have to be made for personal growth? Choosing to hurt someone by no longer being their friend, breaking up romantically, firing an employee, exploiting another's weakness for gain etc…

azam987654321 says:

Most spiritual people don't know what they're doing.. But the ones that do….

Carlos Benjamin says:

A great deal of what you say is true, but you’ve created a false dichotomy around your observations. I know numbers of people who are both devoutly spiritual but also are great at self-examination and personal development. It’s not that faith precludes personal development, but that people who want to avoid looking too closely inside are always looking for reasons outside themselves and are drawn to things that, for them, offer that excuse. Another group drawn to spirituality are the ones who are looking for the magic bullet. They don’t come to learn, but to sit down and say, “fix me”.
